The Minnesota Association of Songwriters (MAS) meets twice each month. We meet on the second Tuesday and the last Wednesday of the month; exceptions are noted below, so please read carefully.
The initial monthly meetings are held at 7 pm CT on the second Tuesday of each month at Living Spirit United Methodist Church, 4501 Bloomington Avenue South, Minneapolis. The meeting will consist of song reviews (live or recorded performances - BYOBoombox), followed by an impromptu jam of original tunes when time permits. Please park and enter at the rear door and take one flight up to the back of the sanctuary, where we'll be waiting for you.
The second meeting of each month (January through October only) are also held at 7 pm CT on the last Wednesday of the month. The meeting will consist of an educational songwriting workshop, followed by song reviews; occasionally, MAS business (like elections, issues, etc.) will also take place. These "last Wednesday" meetings typically take place in room 258 at McNally Smith College of Music (MSCM), which is located at 19 Exchange Street, directly across from the Fitzgerald Theatre in downtown St. Paul. A municipal parking ramp is available at the northwest corner of Wabasha & Exchange Streets.
Non-members are welcome to attend two meetings and have one song evaluated before they are asked to join.
MEETING EXCEPTIONS:
The June 30 meeting will take place at Natural Sound Studio, 989 Selby Avenue, St. Paul.
The August 25 annual cookout will take place at the Hamilton home; signifcant others are invited. Members will receive invitations and directions via email.
In November, MAS will only meet on the second Tuesday.
In December, MAS will only meet on the second Tuesday.

Members may obtain pictures of past showcases by emailing MAS (see address above). At all showcase and benefit events, ANY member who attends may offer CDs for sale at the event venue, whether or not they are performing!
