Swing, Country, Blues, Folk, Americana
A little swing, touch of country, feel of folk, and a bit of the blues – all thrown together like a Minnesota hot dish.
BRUCE CASWELL has lived in Minnesota all his life. His formative years were spent singing and playing guitar at high school dances. In college he played the bars, resulting in extra cash… and a lower grade-point-average.
Today he writes and performs a toe-tapping collection of swing, country, and blues. Originals that warm the heart and spark the imagination. His creations include songs of love and hate, joy and pain, life and death, good times and bad times. He sings of going away and coming home – all presented with a fresh perspective and performed with a nod to the past.
With inspirations from the likes of Mose Allison, Eric Clapton, Commander Cody, Willy Nelson, Bob Wills, and Van Morrison, it’s no wonder that the albums feature a welcome diversity in style and sound – all with enough rhythm to get the fingers snapping and the toes tapping.
