@richard-schletty Hi Richard I posted some melodies that need lyrics on the MAS website under my profile for people to listen to. Please have a listen and if any or interesting or you have any type of lyrics or partial lyrics let me know. These are a few melodies that need lyrics. Anything that comes to mind even if it’s just an partial idea would be appreciated. If you are interested contact me by email with your idea plus the title description below the lyric at promotions@macsmn.org. If no takers by end of year I’ll delete them. Thanks John

Hi, John. Thanks for the invite. I might just take a look. I have done many collaborations like this – writing lyrics for melodies – in the past. I slowed way down in recent years due to too many “exigencies.” I even wrote a poem about exigencies. Here is my page of poems: https://indwellings.com/
.
Not saying any of those verses would work for your songs. Some are introspective or self-analytical. I am sure I would start from scratch once I determined the mood and meter of the songs.
.
It’s been a busy time of the year for me, so I don’t think I could do any writing before January 1.
.
Coincidentally, Brad Dunse and I just dashed out three random verses of a song that will never be sung. I gave him the first verse. It just popped into my head. He penned the second verse and I did the third. We have fun ike this every so often.
.
Did I run outta coffee?
Run outta cheese?
No, I ran outta town
with a woman name Louise
.
I took her in my arms
I begged her pretty please
I woke up my old lady
who asked who the hell’s Louise?
.
Honey, clean your ears.
I asked you, “Did you wheeze?”
She said, “Love, you’re being kind,
Truth is, I cut the cheese.”
Richard, Mighty Love would fit with Joyful fast has a Fleetwood Mac feel or folky melody could be a Christian song. It could use a little tweaking to fit thought. JOHN
Thnaks, John. Can you send me the track? I know you want to take it down soon but I can’t play around with lyrics until about mid January.
