Let’s Go Out

We’ve been cooped up for all this time
We followed all those social guidelines
But now they’re loosing up these lockdowns
Let’s spread our wings and hit the ground
How about a picnic down by the beach?
We can do whatever we please
What is it you’d like to see?
Where would you like to go with me?

Let’s go out
That’s what this song is all about
Let’s go out
That’s all I really wanna do
Is spend all my time with you
Don’t mind staying in with you
But let’s go out.

Let’s ditch all these grey sweat pants
Maybe even go out to a dance
Come on now let’s get up close again
neighbors greeting neighbors and shak-ing hands
Let’s go bowling or to the zoo.
Broadway would be really cool
popcorn and a movie will do
Or even try something new

Let’s go out
That’s what this song is all about
Let’s go out
That’s all I really wanna do
Is spend all my time with you
Don’t mind staying in with you
But let’s go out.

Maybe we could go visit our friends
I’m ready for this quarantine to end
Let’s go to the airport or the bookstore
Or maybe to that restaurant with its big green door
Let’s see movie or a baseball game.
Even go cheer at a big parade
We don’t have to be afraid
This is going to be a special day

Let’s go out
That’s what this song is all about
Let’s go out
That’s all I really wanna do
Is spend all my time with you
Don’t mind staying in with you
But let’s go out.

Let’s go out, Let’s go out, Let’s go out
Let’s go out, Let’s go out, Let’s go out
Let’s go out, Let’s go out, Let’s go out
Let’s go out
