Sheryl Bohlander

Recently took up songwriting – lyric writing is my strength,  writing the music is more challenging for me.  I am hoping to get good feedback from the MAS group so I can finish the 3 songs that are nearly finished, making sure that the music compliments the story of the songs.  I don’t play guitar, I don’t sing (at least not in public), and my piano abilities are limited, so I don’t have an audio of my songs being sung.  Hopefully, I can find someone to sing the melody to see if the melody is singable or how I should modify it.  As a life-long learner type, I have been enjoying learning so much about songwriting and while I have always loved music and played percussion in bands, orchestras through school and even the Bloomington Symphony years ago, I have a much deeper appreciation of songwriting, music composition, and, of course, music theory!
