A Lucky Hand – Written By Mary Kealy Falk & Greg Connor

Verse 1

I went out with Lady Luck for a walk one cool morning

I held her lovely hand as she said to me

Good luck and bad will both be smiling through an open door

They both will play a part as you will see

Verse 2

She said life is just a game of luck, nothing more than destiny

If you think you’re in control, well think again

You’ve got air in your lungs and been blessed with God’s good humor

I promise you’ve been dealt a lucky hand

Chorus

A lucky hand, hold it loosely, know that life is just a game

Never meant to fully know or understand

You’ve been given a magic pen and a few blank sheets of paper

So write your song of life with a lucky hand

Bridge

Hold her loosely, love will always know

She’s right there beside you wherever you go

« I’m doing just fine – – I wrote the song, Buck Erpestad added Tuba and other effects. Good Old Buck! You never know what’s coming. This Balloon – Written / Recorded in one evening around the coffee table. Colleen Dillon, Mark Lofgren, Greg Connor »
