This month’s workshop topic is all about the 5 Lyrical Tools to Create Prosody and Contrast. We will be exploring techniques to use all 5 tools. Structure in songwriting is like the score in a film. Using lyrical tools with purpose can help you make your listeners feel what you are trying to say with your lyrics.
We will explore:
- Balancing and Unbalancing sections
- How not all syllables are created equal
- How motion creates emotion
- Why does contrast matter?
- How you can learn to master song structure to write more emotionally interesting songs
- 6 Types of Rhymes and how to use them.
Looking forward to having you join us! For more info go to our website: https://mnsongwriters.org/
