The genre of Acoustic Singer Songwriters is ever changing, and expanding. In this online songwriting workshop, we will take a deep dive into 5 current Acoustic Singer Songwriter songs.

The goal will be to look for trends in the songs that you can use in your own writing. Many times, when we get song critiques, people may say, "it doesn't sound current," or "it sounds dated." It can be hard to know what that means.

In this workshop, we will be dissecting what is seen as "current."

Some of the aspects we will explore include:

1. Trends in Tempo
2. Melodic Structure/Motif
3. Use of Repetition
4. Chord Progressions and Harmonic Rhythm
5. Use of Rhyme
6. Song Forms
7. Phrasing

and more!

If you want to learn about the current state of popular acoustic songwriting, you will not want to miss this workshop.
