GOD BLESS ALL YOU PEDAL STEEL GUITAR PLAYERS
1. God bless all you pedal steel guitar players
Who can wring out every tear from a song
Whose hand glides along on each golden string
Some are here and some are now gone
There’s Weldon and Helms with that high lonesome sound
Like a far off train whistle in the night
There’s Jerry and Buddy Alvino and Speedy
Who could make those mournful strings cry
Right now they must be playing in that heavenly band
making the angel's cry
2. And here’s to all you pedal steel guitar players
Bending notes and bending time
Out there making all those steel guitars weep
Like when you first hear a newborn baby cry
I bet you Patsy and Hank are singing along
Like angels flying too close to the earth
Old George and Tammy Owens and Merle
Wringing out very tear ’til it hurts
INSTR.

I want to release this on a country album next year. As always I'm seeking collabs. Email me.
