Lyrics:

Title: Too Young to Drive
Artist: Chason Brown

Lyrics:
Started with my toy truck flying
From her hand to daddy's wall
And a hell of a lot of screaming
As she flew out of his world

Then came a solemn silence
A tear fell on daddy’s arm
Soon our truck was driving
To forget all that she'd done

With me and my baby brother
He was only four years old
That house was loud and stumbling
At least I had him to hold

Flying home in that pickup truck
Lights bouncing ditch to ditch
Thank god the angels held us
Long enough to reach our beds

Chorus:
I'm sorry daddy
But I'm too young to drive
I wish I could protect us all (both)
From what you got inside
Head down on my pillow
I pray you’ll find the light
I'm sorry daddy
I'm too young to drive

10 more years and I was grown
I was off to chase my dream
I left my baby brother
Alone in that house with him

My old man and the bottle
Never left it filled for long
One night he fell as if god came down
And my brother saw the blood

Alone and scared nowhere to turn
Is he dead, what will he think
He held Daddy’s hand in the ambulance
But that boy needed me
He sang

Chorus

Another 15 years has gone
After all we've said and done
Our whole family has to face
The truth that was in our hearts

All that we'd forgiven
Caught up with him at once
Today they're celebrating
The man that he once was

I know I should be there
When they put him in that hole
Lower him down and cover him up
And with him my last hope

Bridge
People say they can't believe you're gone
But when were you alive
I'm sorry daddy
But I'm too young to drive

Chorus

I'm sorry daddy
But you're too young to die
