What is Love – 2024
Terry Kennedy-Lares
Chorus:
What is love, what is love
Can it help me rise above
Can it heal my broken heart
or just tear me apart
What is love, show me love
Broken down in tears from false hopes and fears
and promises that were given, never kept
the hopelessness of life, cuts through me like a knife
so I crashed down on my bed, and I wept.
Chorus
Can I find relief, or is it stolen by that thief
that everybody claims is pure white light
but the walls came crashing down, and I’m lying on the ground
curled up and crying out into the night – what is love
Bridge:
Lost hopes and broken dreams, an addiction so it seems
So, I cast my question out into the night -what is love
Chorus
