V1: Momma sleeps next to baby,
They've knocked each other out
His Head rests under her chin
Makes me say out loud
I never dreamed an angel
would hold an angel on my couch
In and out of sleep, A perfect
moment on this perfect summer day
CH 1: On my way out I feel like dancing,
like no one's ever done
On my way out he’s giving me every reason
To be all I can become
On my way Into this life a new
a whole new world is ours
V2: Baby moves wakes momma slowly
They start another round
Love giving life to love
Straight through his precious mouth
Soft squeaks, stretching legs
He's figuring us out
He takes the world under his wings
No fears, and not a speck of doubt
CH 1
B: Baby grows, baby knows
More than I ever dreamed
He’s off to school, and a wife to love
And now another mouth to feed
A lifetime holding him
Passes through my memories
As I watch him hold his kid
I know just how he feels
CH 2: Cause on my way out I felt like dancing,
like no one had ever done
On my way out he gave me every reason
To be all I could become
On my way Into this life I knew
a whole new world is ours
CH 3: On his way out he feels like dancing
Like no one has ever done
On his way out she's giving him every reason
To be all he can become
On his way into this life anew
A whole new world is ours
1. I messed up singing the first line of the bridge – It should be "Baby grows, Baby knows, more than I ever dreamed"
2. I intend the bridge to advance the story from the baby being a baby, to growing and having a baby of his own. Is this working, or do you have any thoughts?
3. The last two choruses are supposed to convey the transition to the son becoming a dad. Is this coming across clearly or not so much?
4. I recently realized that the first two verses have the same rhyme, which using the "ou" sound. Is that bad?
