Driving to the ocean 20 miles to go
I left the city for the open road
Driving Away down A1A
I quit my job left my old life behind
Now I'm looking for whatever I find
Driving Away down A1A INTRO:
Driving away
Driving away
Driving away
I got some Franklins and a full tank of gas
Look out the window see my life rolling past
Driving Away down A1A
The sun is high and radio's on
and it's blasting out a brand new song
Driving Away down A1A
Driving away
Driving away
Driving away
Bridge:
Write back home saying wish you were here
as I open up another beer
put the top down feel the wind in my hair
Made my mind up and I feeling fine
I won't look back til I cross that line
Driving Away down A1A
New Hampshire license plate says Live Free or Die
There's not a cloud up in the Florida sky
Driving Away down A1A
Anticipation my heart's beating fast
I smell the ocean I'm here at last
Driving Away down A1A
Driving away
Driving away
Driving away
Bridge:
Drop a postcard saying wish you were here
as I open up another beer
put the top down feel the wind in my hair
Made my mind up and I feeling fine
I won't look back til I cross that line
Driving Away down to FLA
