VERSE 1:
Women’s rights have been overruled,
MAGA Christian Right is pushing prayer in public schools.
The National Guard patrols cities trying to keep crime at bay,
Mass shootings have become another typical day.
CHORUS:
Has our country lost its soul – Is it hanging by a thread?
Are we falling down a hole – Is real patriotism dead?
Do we even comprehend – what’s truly at stake?
Will all this partisan hate become our final mistake?
Is our country lost?
VERSE 2:
Immigrants and refugees are rounded up en masse,
And sent to concentration camps where thugs and ICE kick ass!
I stop and ask myself: “How much progress have we made?”
Cuz in that big White House, crime & corruption seem to pay

For white, privileged immigrants of fathers from a past age
If our founding fathers saw us now, I wonder what they’d say.
Would they give in to despair or find a better way?
