I was raised in the northland’s theater of seasons
Christmas snow was a welcome sight
My ancestors were Swedes and Norwegians
Who taught me how to frolic in all that white
Christmas time should not be green and brown
I pity folks in the southern climes
They’ll never know the joys that are found
When the snow falls at Christmas time

It’s cold out doncha know
Ski and slide take a snowmobile ride

Could have packed up moved to a warmer state

But I’d miss part of what makes Christmas great
