All the Same
Terry Kennedy-Lares 2026
It’s all the same promises you made to us before,
all the same lies, a liar to the core,
a politician, a rightwing politician
It’s all the same thinking that got us in this mess,
all the same hypocrisy, coming from the blessed.
They deceive us, The don’t follow Jesus.
Chorus
It’s all the same, it’s all the same,
When you play the rich man’s game.
It’s all the same, it’s all the same,
We all get used and the poor get blamed.
It’s all the same ignorance we see every day,
all the same anger, that shot and killed Renee.
’Tis the season of no moral reason
It’s all the same system that keeps a rich man rich,
all the same attitude that called Renee a bitch,
Not a nice man a toxic ICE man.
Chorus
It’s all the same excuses they used for Wounded Knee,
all the same reasons for every tragedy,
the only good one is a dead one.
It’s all the same system if you’re black or white,
all the same struggle, that we have to fight,
we’re all brothers, there are no others.
We’re all the same, we’re all the same
We won’t play the rich man’s game,
We’re all the same, We’re all the same,
Brothers and sisters, united again.
I've still got a lot to do in the recording process, but this gives you the general idea of the song.
