Lyrics:

If You Saw Your Life Doug Millaway ©2026

If you saw your life from a mountain top,
What in the world would you see?
Would you see all the things you’ve done?
Is there an arrow pointing to me?

If you saw your life on the outskirts of town
Would I stand out despite the forest and trees?
Would you point at me and wave hello?
Is there a blinking light right above me?

I hope I made an impression somehow
At least that’s what I tried to do.
I might be insignificant in this big old world
But I think I mean something to you
At least I hope that’s true.

If you saw your life from a glass bottom boat.
There might be shipwrecks and tons of rust
Dancing amongst all the fish in the sea
Would there be any reminders of us?

People worry about whether they matter
They worry nobody will care
They worry they may never feel love
Sometimes they don’t even dare.

I hope I made an impression somehow
At least that’s what I tried to do.
I might be insignificant in this big old world
But I think I mean something to you
At least I hope that’s true.
