Good Storm
I woke up and the sun was in my eyes
I was hopin’ for better but it’s sunny outside
It’s so sunny outside
My head hurts I’ve been drinkin’ in my dreams
I’m sober, it’s the only way to get some relief
I need relief, can I get some relief
We need a good storm to cover up the skies
We need the clouds to roll in and make a place to hide
We need thunder, we need rain, we need to feel it, feel the pain
And get relief, can I get some relief
I can’t wear it, fake smile, blue sky, summer day, I can’t lie, I’m not feelin’ it
If I try to be what you need me to be I know I can’t, I already tried that
I need the windows shut, I need to button up, I need to cry
until I’m done, you gotta let me be, you don’t need to go, but don’t make me leave
I gotta get some relief, can I get some relief
We need a good storm to cover up the skies
We need the clouds to roll in and make a place to hide
We need thunder, we need rain, we need to feel it, feel the pain
And get relief, can I get some relief
