His name was William Landscape
Mastermind of Thunderstorms
in disguise he moved among us
behind all that had gone wrong
Aphasic to our faces
he sang his crazy song
William Landscape was an artist
an artist of the Con.

That Mastermind of Thunderstorms
Flashed lightening all around
Spreading Chaos through the land
No peace could be found.
The fattened calf was sacrificed
We all watched them play the game
figments of democracy
Burnt offerings just the same
apathetic promises
were his stock in trade
to control the teeming masses
keeping them at bay

Where do we go from here
how do we face our fear
standing up to the man
Facing up to the lies
all of the alibis
heads coming out of the sand

a person stood up one day
to challenge all the lies
and those brave actions
inspired other lives
those apathetic promises
would never come true
and so began the future
for me and for you.
