VERSE ONE
It is 2 o’clock and I’m shaken to my core.
Remnants of a dream I justcan’t ignore.
Like landscapes after a thunderstorm,
Images … ravaged and torn.
I’ve dreamed this dream before.
Ooooohhhh.
CHORUS
Peaceful sleep – I long for more
To rest my soul, my peace restore.
To erase the memories that cause my pain.
I never want to dream this dream again.
BRIDGE
Hail on the window gives way to fright.
Howling winds terrorize the night.
Thunder roars with all its might.
I fear the morning’s tearful sights.
Oooooaaaaah …….
VERSE TWO
Storms may come and storms may go,
But tornadoes care not where they go
Strong and fierce, and running free,
They dance in the sky, chasing me.
CHORUS
Peaceful sleep – I long for more
To rest my mind, my peace restore.
To calm the memories that caused my pain.
I never want to dream this dream again.
OUTRO
