The Minnesota Association of Songwriters (MAS), is a fun, positive, thriving not-for-profit organization. The benefits members enjoy are made possible through the work of several volunteers.
Members like you offer their experience, skill, talents, and time because they recognize the unique need MAS supplies songwriters, and want to help it continue its mission.
If you have a project idea you feel MAS could benefit, and want to offer your experience, skill set, talent, or willingness to learn… we want to hear from you.
Some of our volunteers began their work with no prior knowledge in a particular area, but were willing to learn and serve. Together, we work to provide members with a solid user experience, helping them write better songs and become better songwriters.

Monthly Newsletter Content Writer: Experience helpful but not a must.
MAS is looking for someone interested in taking on a fun, easy monthly project, writing content for our monthly newsletter. You would be writing content, lightly formatting it, and submitting it to our Mailchimp account manager for monthly publication.
Some duties involve:
- Find a songwriting quote to open the newsletter, consistent with our monthly craft workshop topic.
- Write a brief welcoming introductory commentary.
- Find an online video of a song written by the person quoted.
- Write a brief songwriting tip
- List MAS monthly events with descriptions and Zoom information given to you by others.
- Submit newsletter draft to Mailchimp manager.
- Approve final test mailing.

We’d like someone in place starting November 10 or as soon after if possible.
