Songwriter Saturday: Writing with Metaphor – Showing and Telling

So what is Songwriter Saturday? Well it is an online songwriting workshop meeting. We will be focusing heavily on doing guided writing exercises that will help you learn how to expand your arsenal of tools. Our mission at MAS is to help you become the best writer you can be.
The first Songwriter Saturday is going to be all about Showing and Telling, and Writing with Metaphor exercises.
How many times have you heard people talking about Showing vs Telling, or writing with Metaphor? This workshop is going to be all about practicing using different techniques. You will leave with some great song starters, and systems you can use over and over in your own writing. We will be doing a lot of writing in this MeetUp. Have something to write on, either a notebook or word processor.
