No, Taylor Swift is not going to be leading our monthly songwriting workshop, but we are going to look at some of her hits to see what makes them tick.

You can think of it as reverse engineering. Using tools and structure to write your own songs.

Taylor is definitely a student of the craft of songwriting, and her body of work shows that she knows how to write some very good songs. She is prolific, talented, and inspiring.

In this workshop, we will look at things like, rhyme schemes, song structure, melody, chords, phrasing and more! Maybe you can become the next Taylor Swift!

MN Association of Songwriters is a non-profit organization based in Minnesota that has a mission to promote the craft of songwriting. We welcome songwriters of all genres, and experience levels to join us. We would love to meet you. Please make plans to attend, and check out our monthly workshops.
