Lyrics:

The Night Rolls In

Sometimes I start feelin’ right when the sun peeks up over the trees
And I tell myself I can make it, even without a friend
As the day wears on the sky turns cloudy to the point where it’s hard to see
‘Til the loneliest time of the day as the night rolls in

The night rolls in, the light that guides me is invisible
The night rolls in, the emptiness grows inside
The night rolls in, it makes me afraid to begin again
So I’m left with only myself as the night rolls in

Maybe one of these days I’m guessin’ I’ll find a way down the road
Take some time, clear my head, before I can say where I’ve beem
Could be I’ll learn, could be I’ll smile, could be someday I’ll grow
The proof will come late in the day as the night rolls in

The night rolls in, the light that guides me is invisible
The night rolls in, the emptiness grows inside
The night rolls in, it makes me afraid to begin again
So I’m left with only myself as the night rolls in

How can anyone see what’s comin’ around the next bend?
What will it be? A fresh new start or the beginning of the end?

Lyrics:

The Perfect Crime:

Bob stands on the corner lookin' like he's lost.
The only thing missing is the rain.
He realizes now his decisions have a cost
Bad things always leave a stain.

Mary had the courage to end the war
She told Bob the well was dry.
Mary faced her fear and stepped forward
Hard things never seem to die.

Causing pain is easier than feeling pain
Admitting your weakness takes time.
Pulling others down all around ya
Is easily the perfect crime.

Their son had way too many questions
All he wanted was a happy life.
He looked Bob square in the eyes and said
"I'll never do that to my wife"

Causing pain is easier than feeling pain
Admitting your weakness takes time.
Pulling others down all around ya
Is easily the perfect crime.

It's what you value, not what you believe
What you give is what you receive

Causing pain is easier than feeling pain
Is easily the perfect crime.

Lyrics:

You and Me – Bob Niemiec (2018)

We started this adventure, just you and me
Searching for a place to call our own
Wandered around this country
Exploring this great land
To settle on a spot to make our stand

We stayed out by the mountains
By cities and the sea
Lived in the forest
Green as far as you can see
No matter where we’d find ourselves
No matter what we do
For ever more it’s always me and you

And I find myself thinking about the way it used to be
Back to a time when we were young and we were free
I can’t quit believing that it’s always you and me
And think about the good times yet to be

We lived our lives in rich and poor
With laughter and some tears
Made it through some stormy nights, and chased away our fears
We settled down, we made a home, we raised a family
Through thick and thin it’s always you and me

And I find myself thinking about the way it used to be
Back to a time when we were young and we were free
I can’t quit believing that it’s always you and me
And think about the good times yet to be

Every day is brighter with you here next to me
With ups and downs, mood swings abound
You’re steady as a tree
You keep me cool you made me laugh you taught me honesty
To live our lives with truth and dignity

And the best thing of them all is the one truth that I know
No matter where I’ve been, no matter where I’ll go
And the best thing of them all is the one thing I can see
You make the world a better place to be

And the best thing of them all is the one truth that I know
No matter where I’ve been, no matter where I’ll go
The best thing of them all is the one truth I can see
You make the world a better place to be
I’m so glad it’s always you and me

Lyrics:

Where to Go from Here
© 2021 Paul D. Vance

Sorry to call so late – thanks for pickin’ up
Crossing Wisconsin I had some bad luck
My Chevy’s on the shoulder of I-94
Don’t think I’ll be drivin’ it any more
I left home so fast I forgot my wallet
Blame it on love, if that’s what you’d call it
What I really need is food and a room
With no cash, no cards it won’t happen soon

I’m in a town called Osseo
Been dealt a crushing blow
And I just don’t know where to go from here

When I started this trip I thought if I saw her
We could get things back the way they were
Her last text made it clear we were through
Gives the word “broke” an extra meaning or two

I’m in a town called Osseo
Been dealt a crushing blow
And I just don’t know where to go from here

I’d fly away if gravity would let me
For now, friend – could you please come get me?

I’m in a town called Osseo
Been dealt a crushing blow
And I just don’t know where to go from here

Lyrics:

Slowly Surely

Climbing high on the mountainside
To see what I’m leaving behind
Good-hearted people here
But half of my mind is on island time

Can’t put it outa my mind
Sun on my face always reminds me
Beauty there to find
Son of a gun, it unwinds me
Slowly surely

Something ‘bout an endless stretch of sand
And an endless stretch of sea
That seems to reach to the endless sky
And deep inside of me

Can’t put it outa my mind
Sun on my face always reminds me
Beauty there to find
Son of a gun, it unwinds me
Slowly surely

Faster and faster we go spinning
Like a runaway merry go round
Gotta catch up with time
Where the waves kiss sand
With that soothing sound

Can’t put it outa my mind
Sun on my face always reminds me
Beauty here to find
Son of a gun, it unwinds me
Slowly surely, slowly surely

I Can See You

I can see the motion in the sky I can tell were you are as you fly
I can see you I can feel you In my heart
I can follow your steps I will be there with you
I can find my way to you
We can make the dreams of love we can stand above it all
I can see you in my life
As I wonder and I think of so I search my heart for the answer
That I need
When I look up above and I see the stars of love I can see it I can feel it for you
when you take a flight of love you never now were it does but it goes
cause we see our love and we feel our love and we found our way
and its here to stay It's ok

Lyrics:

WAIST-HIGH TOWN
Patrick Kozub

Hello, young man
Do you recognize me
A wandering son of this empire state
The cellophane skies
And the half-lit signs
Pulling me back around
To this waist-high town

Hello young man,
Would you recognize me,
Holdin’ Dad’s hand down the street
He painted that church
They christened my birth
Favors that can only be found
In a waist-high town

City she’s
Callin’ me away
Tunnel trains
Tracing veins
Empty their crowds
Dreaming
Of a waist-high town

Hello, young man
Do you recognize me
A wandering son of this empire state

Lyrics:

Love Is A Mystery by Paul Nye 2014/2021
VERSE 1:
He gets up every morning, shaves and washes his face
The lines tells a story of dignity and grace.
Walks to the bus stop, for a long ride
To see his love, full of life & wide-eyed

CHORUS:
You see love, is a mystery – It may drift on open seas, with no wind in its sail
Yes, love, is a mystery – But true love will never fail.

VERSE 2:
He walks down a hallway to a room glowing white
Slowly opens a door to beauty and light
Though her mind does not remember the love of her life
He sits quietly, touching the hand of his wife.

CHORUS:
Because love, is a mystery – It may drift on open seas, with no wind in its sail
Yes, love, is a mystery – But true love will never fail

BRIDGE:
They mapped out their course with pure innocence
And set sail towards the sun off in the distance
They rode out the waves of conflict with love
Navigating to the end always sure of…

CHORUS 2X
Love, is a mystery – It may drift on open seas, with no wind in its sail
Yes, love, is a mystery – But true love will never fail ………FADE

Started writing in 2014 under the title "Love Prevails." Resurrected song in 2021 and re-wrote much of it, removing a 3rd verse. In process of re-writing chorus because of apparent clichés I'm not happy with. The recording submitted is before the changes I made earlier this year.

In the Garden
Take a little time to love one another
When you give of your heart you can never go wrong
Peacefulness is here and ripe for the picking
Let me walk alongside you in the garden

chorus:
Hold on to the love that's inside you
Hold on to your beating heart
Hold on to hope for the hopeless
And the faithful will walk in the garden

The roses are fading the thorns have fallen out
I wil hold you till the end of time
In the sweetness of my love we will walk to the moon
Let the full moon burn and time stand still

It’s My Turn
Mary Kealy-Falk
©2021

Verse 1

Ooh, did you really say it
The three little words that are gonna make me fall for you
Say it again, say it again
Ooh, you say those words like it’s not so strange
They’re gonna make a big change
And I hear them, hear them
Like I’ve never heard them before

You say “I love you” and were willing to say it first
And now I’m ready and willing to say it back to you

Chorus

‘Cause it’s my turn, what was I waiting for
I’ts my turn, never felt this way before
I can’t wait, I can’t breathe
You’re everything I need
So I’m just gonna say it, say it, – I love you too
Cause it’s my turn

Verse 2

Ooh, did you really do it
No one’s ever kissed me quite as sweet
Do it again, do it again
Ooh, I like where you’re takin’me
The moon is full
And we have the rest of the night
Hold me tight, hold me tight
Like you’ll never let me go

You reach for me and wrap your willing arms around me first
And now I’m ready and willing to hold you close to me

Chorus

When I’m Loving You

Verse 1

I believe in heaven in the sky
And angels way up high
They have to be true
To watch over me
And lead me to you

They say there’s someone special for every heart
True love from the very start
And the best thing to do
To make my heart sing
Is to fall in love with you

Chorus

‘Cause you’re the music that I play
Every day, every way
And the whispers of your heart
Are the lyrics I hear
You are the miracle I’ve been waiting for
That’s the way you make me feel
‘Cause it’s so wonderful when I’m loving you

Verse 2

Is this a blessing from above
A melody of love
A song in my soul
Now that I know
The wonderful of you
When you say the words so soft to me
I hear the harmony of a love duet
That we’ll sing every day
In a thousand different ways

Chorus
